Everyone loves the old Mercedes-Benz 190, or W201 in Benz parlance. But time waits for no car, and in 1994, a replacement was on the horizon: the C-Class. Will it stand the test of time?
The folks at MotorWeek have praise for the new C280's "sleeker, less upright look" than the 190, what with its "wedgey tail lamps" and everything. They also like its beefy 2.8-liter straight six engine and four-speed autobox, which is aggressively shifted here in proper MotorWeek fashion.
Things get better inside with the easy-to-use cassette deck and deep cupholder, apparently a first for Mercedes. Suck on that, Acura Legend!
