I love it when people get creative with Lego. Weird and wonderful things often come out of it. The latest is this Lego Jeep Wrangler Rubicon concept.
The Jeep has four 62mm radius tires installed at all four corners, plus a spare hanging on the hatch door. The roof is removable and the engine (non-running) part is beneath the hood. In fact, the hood was one of the toughest parts to create. On the Lego Ideas page, the creator wrote:
The most difficult part of the construction was to join the hood and the two mudguards. I was stuck on this part for a couple of weeks, struggling to combine a slightly tilted hood module with 1x3x2 arch bricks and mudguard modules with angled technic beams. Though I have successfully managed to integrate them seamlessly as shown in the pictures after a series of attempts, better ways of joining these parts together must be sought out for more perfection.
The creator also notes that they love taking pictures, so a miniature DSLR was included in the set so that future owners can partake in the pastime as well. Yellow cones are also tucked into the trunk, secured by a net, ready for anything that this little Jeep comes across.
As with all ideas submitted to the Lego Ideas page, the Jeep needs 10,000 supporters before Lego will decide whether to put it into production or not.
Also, don’t miss the Star Wars tribute! You can find out more about the project here.
