Meet the Camatte57s. It's Toyota's "sporty, open-top family-focused concept car" built for the upcoming Tokyo Toy Show. It's a bit like IKEA furniture: Weirdly named and frustrating to build.
Based on the original Camatte from last year, the new open top car is made up of 57 small, lightweight, detachable panels that can be finished in a wide choice of different colors and designs, making the Camatte57s the most customizable Toyota ever.
Powered by an electric motor, it's actually much more educational than a simple toy car:
The pedals and seats can be adjusted so that even children can drive. The position of the right-hand rear seat will let adults help with steering and braking, so the youngsters can make an early start on developing their driving skills in appropriate, safe places, off the public highway.
Certainly better than my pedal car was.
