This Hero Actually Off-Roads His Perfectly Restored Classic Toyota FJ40

Josh Commons likes his Toyota FJ40 for its unapologetically utilitarian nature. Just about every old truck fan can see the beauty in that. But what makes this one even cooler is the fact that it still gets put to work on the trail.

Commons tells Petrolicious; “I don’t see these as disposable, I see them as infinitely rebuildable. It’s definitely an heirloom now.” The truck’s been in his family for ten years and it doesn’t sound like it’s going anywhere else.

This video’s a great story and, as usual, a visually beautiful Petrolicious production.
