Formula One Just Got Bought

Liberty Media, the company controlled by John Malone and which owns the Atlanta Braves, has purchased Formula One, reports CNBC. Liberty will be officially purchasing an 18.7 percent stake to start with, which will eventually become an outright acquisition.

Chase Carey, an executive vice president of 21st Century Fox, will be named chairman, but real F1 chief Bernie Ecclestone, is, of course, expected to go nowhere. He will outlast everything in this world, including you and all your descendants.

Still, maybe this will be good?
