The same forums that brought you a great rending of what a production 2019 Porsche Taycan could look like have now used their skill and power to render a Porsche Taycan Sport Turismo. They even threw in a Targa render for the fun of it.
Of course I’m talking about TaycanForum.com, which posted a pretty good rendering of the regular Taycan back in October. Now we’ve got renderings of a Sport Turismo and Targa topped Taycan, too:
Porsche has already shown off a “Cross Turismo” concept back when the car was still called the Mission E, which was essentially just a slightly lifted sport turismo version of the car with the roof stretching further back for more of a wagon body style like on the current Panamera.
There have also already been spy shots of a Taycan Sport Turismo, so this model is pretty much in the bag.
The forum post with the renderings also claims that a Targa version of the Taycan will be part of Porsche’s announced lineup of electric vehicles based on the car, but traditional Targa Porsches are two-door cars and it’s not yet clear if the Taycan will be getting a two-door treatment since it would be an existential threat to the 911.
Nonetheless, the forum claims there’s a Targa in the works, and other outlets like Autocar have reported the same rumor, so maybe we can look forward to that, too.
If that is the case, it’ll only strengthen our case that the Taycan will be the electric car to beat when it goes into production later this year.
