Here Are The Best Sub-$100,000 Two-Car Garage Combinations
If you have $100,000 to fill two garage slots, you could do a lot worse than these picks
When I asked you all to tell me your ideal two-car garage "solution" earlier this week, I certainly didn't expect to be quite as overwhelmed with differing responses as I was. I guess when you ask car enthusiasts to talk about their favorite cars, they'll just jump with joy at the opportunity. I get it. I'm just like you. We're built from the same stuff. After sifting through hundreds of your two-car solutions, I have determined that these are a few of the very best suggestions.
I bought both of the terrible little machines in the header photo for one fifth of the suggested $100,000 budget (and less than the motorcycle in the corner) and they both make me laugh so much every time I drive them. Great cars. Great value. Great two-car solution.
Bold Bavarian And Angry American
The E91 is an auto and mostly commuter in heavy traffic, the Mustang is a manual and mostly autocross/track/fun but capable of driving to work on occasion.

A Bit Bri’ish, Gov?
Emotionally a Landrover Defender and a Mini both OG versions. Intellectually a newish pickup to do work and an air cooled 911
The Do-It-All Crew
The wife has a HellaYella 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with a manual and I have a 2016 Volvo V60 Polestar in Rebel Blue.
Between the 2 of us we can do anything!
Trip to Costco? Ez
Day at the track? Expensive but sure
Road trip? Crossed the country many times
Escape the city when the Zombies rise? That's just a Tuesday

3 Series + Mazda5 = Perfection
Here is my current two-car solution, and I love it:
Seeing Red
Bigger budget wouldn't hurt, but these are fun.
Days Gone By
Had my perfect 2-car garage like 18 years ago with a NB Miata and a Subaru Legacy GT, both bought new for ~$50k. Nowadays I have a 3-car garage fileled with less-satisfying vehicles. What happened?!
Double Oh Twos
2 BMW 2002s. One can be a little dusty for winter/bad weather.
One Trip To The Toyota Dealership
When I dream, I dream small. Being overly pragmatic I really don't like showy cars that make some kind of statement about me. Even if I had the full $100k, I would keep it simple with a Toyota one-two: a GR86 for the weekends and a Prius for, well, everything else. Is there a sportier and more luxurious option I could squeeze into that budget, like a gently used Supra and Lexus ES hybrid? Probably. But I like to fly under the radar, and the former option is just what I realistically need without any excess.
Let Depreciation Work For You
Whoops! Glossed over the <$100k budget suggestion. In that case, you can pick up a previous gen, lower spec, L405 with some miles in the $50-60k range and a 997 cab for $40-50k. Would still get you the practical, luxurious daily driver, and the fun weekend toy. Your maintenance expenses might be astronomical... but we're all diy enthusiasts, right?
Two Gundams
Lexus GX and Civic Type R probably
GX: Off road, towing, luxury, 3 rows.
CTR: Sporty, manual, decent mpg and has four doors.

The Fast One And The Faster One
I'm pretty pleased with my setup now, though I do care deeply about both cars and try to keep them as nice as possible. It would be nice if one of them was more of a "beater" but I just like these 2 [being a Mk7 Volkswagen GTI and an Audi RS3] too much lol.
