Here Are The Best Cars For Passengers
Sometimes the drivers seat isn't always the best place
There are luxury cars like Mercedes Maybachs, Bentleys, and Rolls Royces. But many people will never experience that kind of luxury first hand. More attainable cars can be just as luxurious and comfortable. Take the Lincoln Navigator for instance. Second-row passengers get access to the huge Vista Roof, heated and cooled massaging seats, dual 10.1-inch screens with 16 GB of storage for each screen, and their own center armrest with a touch screen for the tri-zone climate control. That's comfortable American luxury.
We asked readers what they thought the best cars for passengers were. These were their answers.
Saturn Ion Quad Coupe
I'm nominating the Saturn ION quad coupes. Four doors, the rear that opened like a pickup truck (think suicide doors) and rear bucket seats with the center being for cup holders and storage. Very smooth and efficient ride for how dirt cheap those cars were/are.

Full-Size Trucks
FSTIATA: Full-Size Truck Is Always The Answer
Crew cab Rams have an *enormous* back seat and I assume most other full size trucks do, too. Kids can literally walk around, adults can cross their legs. There's plenty of headroom, heated seats are available, there's wi-fi, you have room under the seats to store things. Can't recommend it enough for passenger comfort.
Full-size trucks, especially heavy-duty crew cab models, have rear legroom that rivals some luxury sedans. The Ram 3500 Crew Cab for instance has more rear legroom (40.2-inches) than a Lexus LS (38.9-inches).

First Gen Scion Xb
The best cheap back seat has to be the 1st generation Scion Xb. More legroom and headroom than an Avalon for 1/3 the price.
This is true. But only for the front. The first-gen Xb had more front leg and headroom than the Avalon at the time. The Xb had 46.1-inches of headroom to the Avalon's 38.7-inches. Front legroom was 44-inches to the Avalon's 41.7-inches.

Current Gen Honda Accord
New Accords. Idk how Honda did it but the back seat leg room is absolutely massive. I have sat in a newish 7 series and S-Class with less room.
The current gen Honda Accord does have a nice-sized back seat with passengers getting nearly 41-inches of legroom.

The mid-00s Chrysler Grand Voyager with the 2-2-3 seating arrangement.
What a lovely place to be during long family road trips.

Citroen C6
The answer would have to involve Hydropneumatic suspension. I offer the Citroen C6.

Bentley Continental GT
The Conti GT. Even if you're tall and in the back seat. It's the coziest, quietest, comfiest, most luxurious cruise missile money can buy.

Genesis G90/Kia K900
The Kia K900 and Genesis G90 are surprisingly exclusive and opulent!
A Genesis G90 equipped with everything you see in the picture is priced at just under $80,000.

Conversion Vans
1990's and 2000's conversion vans were the absolute lap of luxury.
Something a little more enthusiast oriented: I hitched a ride out to Denver with my folks once and rode the entire way in the back of dad's S600. That was pretty damn comfortable, perhaps even more so than a conversion van.

Ford Flex
Infinitely comfortable AND fast with the EcoBoost.
Ford had a gem in the Flex. A 355 horsepower all-wheel-drive wagon with room for six, a skylight for every passenger, and a second-row fridge? I'd take this over an Explorer any day.
