Ghosn Shopping: Will Ford Sell Jaguar to Renault?

Let's see, Bill Ford recently said the company's Premier Automotive Group would be profitable next year, which would be a lot easier without perpetual red-ink machine, Jaguar. Now, LeftLane news cites a report from French business magazine L'Expansion that Ford may be mulling an offer from Renault to buy Jaguar. Ford's already denied Renault CEO Carlos Ghosn a shot at Volvo, but Jaguar may be a different story. Where Ford and Volvo are intertwined in several new models, Jaguar has few such ties to the Ford home brands' purse strings. Renault, on the other hand, needs a luxury marque for global competitiveness (what, Infiniti's not good enough?), and Ghosn has already proven his mettle as a turnaround artiste for Nissan.
