Ever lusted after Cadillac's 556-horsepower, stick-shift-having CTS-V wagon? If the answer is yes, then now is apparently the time to get one.
According to this little-noticed report in Car and Driver — one that picked up traction in other blogs this week — Caddy's wagon version of the CTS is headed to that great wagon garage in the sky.
And not just the insane V variant, either. The next CTS will debut without a wagon version at all, C&D reports. "We wanted it, we got it, and now Cadillac can't get them off dealer lots. With the next generation, I have learned, it will sadly be history," they said.
This is sad news for all us wagon enthusiasts, but as we've said many times here before, normal people (folks who don't read Jalopnik) just can't get behind them. Whatever, they're the ones who are missing out on practicality and obscene performance in cars like the V wagon.
I have to wonder what this means for the supposed ATS wagon that has been spotted in some places. After all, the smaller ATS has been cannibalizing sales of its bigger brother. Maybe GM will drop the CTS wagon and still give us the ATS version.
Will you miss the CTS wagon?
