One car on my dream list as a kid was a Subaru WRX 22B STI. I was never able to get one, cause, y'know, it never came to America. The last few didn't remind me of the 22B either, which left my desires unfulfilled. Well, this concept is shades of the 22B. Say hey to Subaru's WRX Concept. DAMN.
The styling department at Subaru has been lost for what seems like forever. The last WRX was, well, it wasn't attractive.
This thing though... Aggressive, angry. It looks freaking pissed. Like furious. I love it. Sure, those head and taillights probably won't make it to production, neither will the wee little mirrors or the really integrated doors. But if something that is 85 percent of this car makes it, well, I might be buying one.
I like the yellow accents that they used throughout, which might denote some sort of electrical involvement (think Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo). Rumor has it that the turbo boxer four will have 275 to 300 horsepower and possibly an electric turbo to spool up immediately.
I want to be inside this Subaru. Literally. I want to drive it.
