Bronco! Bronco! It was a simpler time in advertising; and apparently the first Ford Bronco was originally sold as a "four-wheel drive sports car" until the term "Sport Utility Vehicle" could be coined.

Justin Hyde over at Motoramic says the Ford Bronco was introduced on this day in history (August 11th) in 1965 as a '66 model.

While not exactly "aerodynamic" the first Bronco was lean, light, and from the looks of this righteous commercial, a lot of fun to drive. Remind me again why Jeep is the only automaker that's still allowed to sell open-roof off-roaders in the US these days?

Hat tip to Motoramic!
