This is seriously great-sounding advice. I did order a repair manual for it, so hoping that’ll help give me some insight as to where the wirings may or may not be. (My father is quite good with the wiring and has shown me quite a few wiring diagrams in my more youthful days as well, so that might help!)

Kudos to the Renault. And you’re right...I appreciate older cars as well for the simplicity of their mechanics. Sure, you can overengineer a Mercedes...but it’s still more simple to fix than the nightmares we drive today. And maybe somehow...cheaper?
