I own a 2007 S600. It’s hydraulic suspension. The S550 I’m 90% sure were air ride. I don’t think I’m wrong... and I selected the S550 as the flagship example of the disaster of engineering. The V12 biturbo thankfully does not have this issue. Thanks for reading. Read more

You have to factor this repair along with all the other things that can happen. I could tolerate the here and there electrical and air suspension issues that will cost you a few thousand a year to keep up, but this on top of it? Too much. Just buy a 2008 and don’t worry about it. Read more
