Yeah, it really depends on trim with the 124 when it comes to price. The one I had recently was nearly $36,000. I’d say the only reason to go for a 124 now is if you can get it for significantly less (like you said), because they’re both great cars, but there’s now such a big power difference between them. New? My opinion is no, and, if anything, manuals will become special trims that’ll cost even more (see: Mazda 3 debut). It’s cheaper to just phase them out altogether if no one buys them when it comes to development and trim costs, so it’ll likely become even more of a niche market. Read more
