Here's The Coolest Car Stuff We Saw At CES
Manufacturers brought the automotive heat to this year's CES in Las Vegas.
As vehicles become more tech and software-focused, it makes sense that they take up more and more of the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The footprint cars have is so big at this point, that it's just about impossible to see everything cool in just one day.
That's why we've compiled this list of the coolest automotive-related things we saw at CES this year, so it can feel like you walked the halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center with me. However, you probably don't have an achy knee and blisters on your pinky toes. Plus, this'll only take a few minutes to read through, which is much easier than walking for over 15 hours.
This is a more broad look at the sort of automotive stuff as a whole that I saw at the show. If you're also interested in the biggest car news to come out of CES, well, you're in luck. You can read all about that right here.
It’s Mobin’ Time
Hyundai's Mobis system may have been the coolest thing at CES for me. The way it could maneuver in just about every single direction was super impressive. It's a little weird to look at, but hey, it gets the job done.
The Cutest Work Vehicles Ever Created
Kia's PBV concepts are paving the way for a modular (and extremely cute) cargo-carrying future for the Korean automaker. Everything about these little vehicles are about simplicity and usefulness. That's something I can really get behind.
I Mean, How Adorable Is This?
I want to take a warm nap in one of these vans.
I Just Want To Pinch Its Cheeks
Look at the baby!
The Saloon Of The Future
Honda says the production version of the 0 Series Saloon will be heavily inspired by this concept car. God, I hope so. The retro-futuristic design is such a winner in my book. On top of that, Honda says it's meant to be a driver's car. Who doesn't love that?
This Is A Lotus Now
Disagree all you want, but if Lotus decided this is a Lotus, then it is a Lotus. Purists can go punch a wall.
Low Rider
All my friends know the low rider,The low rider is a little higher. The low rider drives a little slower,Low rider is a real goer.
G-sus Christ
The electric G-Wagon can do tank turns, and that's all that matters.
Afeela Pretty Good About This
It'll be interesting to see how Sony Honda Mobility and Honda compare and contrast each other in the future, but right now the Afeela is looking reallllll good. It's far more normal car-like than the Honda 0 Series vehicles that were released at CES.
Salute An American Icon
Hey ‘Lil Fella
I Want To Be A Farmer
I do not know what it is about this autonomous tractor (it's everything), but now I really want to be a farmer.
No, I Want To Be A Construction Worker
I yearn to tear shit up with my autonomous Bobcat.
Yeah, I Really Want To Be A Construction Worker
This digger from HD Hyundai reminds me so much of a futuristic dinosaur, and no I do not know what that means.
Just Kidding, Farming Is Where It’s At
Yeah, I'd look good in one of these bad boys. Just doin' my farmin'.
Wheely Cool
These bikes from Verge cost well into the mid-$20,000 range, which is a lot. However, the hubless wheel is so sick, I almost feel its worth it... almost.
This Could Be Something
Maybe this time everything will work out, VinFast.
Remote Controlling
That's me, controlling a BMW iX remotely. The automaker tells me that they see this sort of tech being used in the future as a virtual valet, and further down the road, it could even drive you home. Neat stuff.
I Can Park All By Myself
There's the car I was controlling. Note how I am not in it.
I Don’t Think So, Bud
Stop trying to make flying cars a thing. I beg of you.
Swagger Wagon
I am so enamored with the Space-Hub. I know it's a concept car, but if Honda is to be believed, it really is something we could see in the future.
Scootgatti
This is the only Bugatti I can afford, and I still can't afford it.

I’m A Cute Lil’ Tourist
Yes, I walked the entire length of the Las Vegas strip. It was painful but worth it.
