Heroin! Last week we weren't talking about it at all, today it's a global pandemic. The latest in white-horse escapades went flying down Woodward Avenue yesterday and culminated in the arrest of a father, mother and son.

I was actually on my way to Midtown for an event when I saw a police cruiser flying down Woodward. I thought to myself, "Self, Detroit just got a few inches of snow today, is that really safe?" And then I saw another one. And another one. I didn't see what they were chasing until I saw the news later.

Turns out they were chasing a family in a Crown Victoria whom police had tried to pull over for going the wrong way down a one-way street. The chase began in Southfield before going down Woodward through Detroit and ending in Highland Park. If you're into Crown Vics drifting on snowy streets and endangering lives, check out the raw chase video here on Fox 2.

After they were arrested, police sources say all three passengers were under the influence of heroin. One driver caught in the middle of the chase was injured.
