Lying in the path of a moving vehicle is a stupid thing. It's especially stupid if that moving thing is a fast three ton truck.

From what I can tell, these Aussies are out enjoying themselves on the dunes. Perhaps this one gent had a few too many Fosters and then decided to lie right in the crevice of one.

He didn't take into account that a 6,000 pound truck could shift the sand and crush him. Or that the jump might not be a success and he'd be run over and killed.

Nope, he just lies there. He doesn't die. That's what makes him a daredevil. And an idiot.
