Considering the last new 1967 Chevrolet Impala rolled off the assembly line 45 years ago, we'd say this original wagon that's traveled a mere 31,000 miles is about as close as you can get to factory fresh.
According to the seller, this well preserved wagon was recently found "well preserved under two inches of dust and barn dirt". It's clear from the amazing original condition of this Impala even before the car was put away it lead an amazingly pampered existence.
We're not sure exactly where this car was found but if it was anywhere near its current Yonkers, NY location we'd guess from it's amazing rust free body it never saw winter roads—even if it does come with original snow tires.
Inside and out this Impala looks as if it just left the factory—from the Tahoe Turquoise paint and matching interior to the original dog dish hubcaps. According to the seller the wagon also runs and drives that way. As if this car wasn't already cool enough, behind the original 283 V8 is a rare four speed column shift manual transmission.
Barn finds are cool even if the cars in question haven't been preserved half as well as this Impala. Finding any car in this kind of nearly immaculate original condition is basically unheard of, let alone a low optioned manual shift full sized Chevy wagon in one of the best colors ever put on a car. We are unable to accurately describe our overwhelming level of desire to own this car.
Bidding on the No Reserve auction for this original Chevy has reached $12,800 with about two days left before the car finds a new owner for the third time in over four decades.
