Like Chronos devouring his children, Detroit's roads are trying to swallow the cars the city itself produced. Specifically, drivers in the area this morning were faced with the dual threats of a giant sinkhole and a massive pothole. Screw Robocop, this city needs Roboroadcrew.
While the sinkhole may appear to be the most impressive infrastructure failure, it's merely the sort of common water main break that occurs in cities all over the world. Somehow the pothole is more frightening. The spot where the hole appeared looks like its been patched more times than Joan Rivers' face.
