Ya know, the Audi RS6 Avant is pretty boring from the factory. Who cares about a twin-turbocharged direct-injection V10 delivering only 572HP and 479lb-ft of torque? APS Sportec's rectified this indignity by pushing output to a much-more-insane 700HP and 584lb-ft.
Don't worry, we weren't be able to enjoy the Audi RS6 Avant and thankfully we won't have to enjoy the Sportec version now either.
But, a 700 HP wagon, huh? The car can be had at the Stage 1 level with only 650 HP and 540 lb-ft, but for real, if you're going to go, go all the way and get the Stage 2 system. Amazingly they were able to squeeze an additional 128 HP and 105 lb-ft of torque from the 5.0-liter mill with nothing more than an ECU reflash and freer-flowing sport catalysts. 0-60 time has been cut to 4.2 seconds from 4.5 but more importantly Audi's superwagon now has enough scoot to get out of its own way.
