19 years after the murder of Mickey Thompson and his wife, Thompson's former business partner, Michael Goodwin, has been sentenced to two consecutive life terms for the crime. Goodwin was convicted of first-degree murder for hiring bicycle-riding hitmen to kill Thompson at his home in guard-gated Bradbury, California, apparently over a business deal gone sour. While this conviction won't bring back the creator of the unbearably awesome quad-blown-Pontiac-powered Challenger, it does bring an ending to the long and painful battle of Thompson's sister, Colleen Campbell, to bring Goodwin to trial.
