2011 Bentley Continental GT: Now You Can Have A V8

The 2011 Bentley Continental GT now offers a eco- and poorer-person friendly 4.0-liter V8 as an option. The rest of us will order a 567-hp, 516 lb-ft 6.0-liter twin-turbo W12. Now to paint it pink and cover it with rhinestones.

Truth be told, the new Continental GT looks a heckuva lot like the old Contintental GT. Same general shape, same swoopy profile. The most obvious change is in the headlights but the most important one is under the hood. While there will be an optional 4.0-liter V8 of as-yet indeterminant power levels, the main show is a brutish 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged W12 engine producing 567-hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. It gets Bentley's six-speed Quickshift transmission driving the all-wheel-drive system.

The interior also gets a full going-over, and since it's a Bentley no expense was spared. Amidst the acres of leather and beautiful burled wood you'll find a new touchscreen infortainment center hooked up to Google Maps. The performance? How does 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 198 mph grab you? We'll take ours in British Racing Green, naturally.
