Very few people ever look forward to taking their car to a mechanic. No matter what you do, you’ll probably have to take your car for a dreaded trip to a garage to see a mechanic. We all worry that the garage will overcharge for service, and it could admittedly be even worse than that. The mechanic could fail to fix the issue you came in for, or even exacerbate the problem.

What is your worst visit to a mechanic? We want to know exactly how a seemingly unassuming mechanic turned a minor headache into a living nightmare. Did they turn into a wrench-wielding vampire and attempt to suck your bank account dry while doing as little work as possible? Did they have two left hands holding their toolbox and make your car’s problems even worse? We want to hear it all.

Despite the concerns and complaints, there are incredibly knowledgeable and skilled mechanics out there. However, some of them are going to work on our cars regardless of the cost. A U.S. Postal Service mechanic is posting on TikTok to share all the work that goes into maintaining the iconic Grumman LLVs. The last LLV rolled off the line in 1994 and the delivery truck has certainly lived up to its Long Life Vehicle name in the 30 years since because of regular maintenance.

Now, we can’t start buying LLVs to be our daily drivers and roll into the local post office for service. Be sure to share your worst mechanic story in the comments below.
