Mahk Is Back to Take Down Another Chevy 'Real People' Truck Ad

You remember Mahk, the “real person” with a Boston accent that says what we’re all thinking in those stupid Chevy ads? Well he’s back to take on the latest one about Chevy’s trucks, and now he apparently has a visual effects budget.

The folks at the YouTube channel Zebra Corner have had hit after hit with these “Real People” parody videos, now going for the latest one about the “most dependable, longest lasting full-size pickups on the road.”

As usual, Mahk is spot on with comparisons to Mad Max and the horrifying ending of David Fincher’s Se7en, and the gag of going through every other notable commercial and toy truck manufacturer still lands, despite my fears that these parodies would get stale.

The good news for Zebra Corner is Chevy has doubled down on its commitment to this horrible, stagey and cringe-crazy advertising campaign, despite everyone hating it. I wish someone would put my head in a box and have it delivered to the middle of nowhere so I’d never have to see another one of these ads on TV again.
