A common misconception is that the latest sixth-generation “global” car is the first Mustang ever marketed and sold in Europe. This is not true. For that honor belongs to the Ford T5, a Mustang by a different name thanks to a copyright conflict with German truck manufacturer Krupp. Many are thought to have been purchased by soldiers stationed in Germany, some of whom shipped their cars back to the states. Still, a T5 in the U.S. is a rare sight.
