Fiat Chrysler has had a few security issues over the past few months, with Ram trucks and Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawks stolen from Detroit-area plants in May and November, respectively. But on Sunday, another theft took place, except instead of Trackhawks, the scoundrels nabbed Dodge Chargers.

This is all according to Fox 2 Detroit, which spoke with the police department and learned that the theft, which occurred about a half a mile down the street from the Jefferson North Assembly plant, involved four Dodge Chargers along with some other cars.

I called up Fiat Chrysler, and while it wouldn’t tell me how many of its vehicles had been stolen, or which models, it did say the whole thing went down early on Sunday morning at a shipping yard managed by a third party. The company said it’s working with local authorities to get to the bottom of what happened to FCA’s vehicles, as well as another vehicle from another manufacturer.

Fiat Chrysler just can’t catch a break from car thieves. At this point, maybe they should consider throwing some tracking devices on their vehicles, just in case.

I’ve reached out to the Detroit Police Department, and will update this post if I hear anything new.
