I went to a car museum not long ago while I was on vacation, because I have serious problems managing my work/life balance. But while I was at Autoworld I saw a pristine, shiny BMW Isetta just sitting there, looking pretty. It was awful.

That’s because Isettas are meant to be out there, ROAMING FREE. And also tearing up autocross tracks.

I love this because it’s making no sense in my mind, and yet, it makes perfect sense. Look at that little guy out there, little roof flap open for the entire world to see, front paw hanging in the air, narrow little rear wheels skippering it about, refrigerator door acting as what must be an entirely safe piece of racing equipment.

I know what heaven looks like. It looks like this.
