Lyft Has Terrible Taste In Drunk Food (Updated)

Can we talk about Taco Bell for a second?

There’s some people out there who enjoy consuming Taco Bell “food,” typically after reaching certain levels of inebriation.

This is disgusting, mostly for the fact that Taco Bell is gross. In fact, they were once sued for serving beef that didn’t contain enough actual beef! They filled the meat with a mix of tasteless fibers and industrial additives called maltodextrin, silicon dioxide, sodium phosphate, potassium phosphate and potassium lactate. Not real food!

The lawsuit was since closed and Taco Bell disclosed its meat is actually 88 percent meat and 12 percent “other stuff,” but that doesn’t mean it isn’t an unauthentic, rip off of Mexican food that the literal country of Mexico thinks is a joke.

Now Lyft is endorsing the consumption of this chain through a partnership with Taco Bell that allows riders to go into “Taco Mode,” which adds a fast food pit stop on their way home according to TechCrunch. Lyft is only testing out the pilot in Orange County July 27-29 and August 3-5 between 9 p.m. and 2 a.m., but the company intends to roll the service out nationwide in 2018.

Honestly, couldn’t they have picked Jimmy Johns? Or somewhere with pizza? Or anywhere where they actually may serve, oh I don’t know, say, ACTUAL MEXICAN FOOD.

Now excuse me while I barf.

Correction: This post has been updated to include how the Taco Bell beef lawsuit was settled, but the point stands that you should eat almost anywhere else.
