The Lexus UX Concept Is Your Starkly Beautiful Brutalist Totalitarian Future

Lexus has been going strong with its “angry Cylon” styling for a few years now, and it hasn’t exactly been celebrated. But what if it was taken one step further? What if “angry Cylon” didn’t just apply to the face, but to the entire thing? This is the first “leaked” photo of the Lexus UX concept, and I’m not complaining.

The UX concept is supposed to debut at the Paris Auto Show in a few weeks, and the weird thing is I actually like it. When it inevitably makes it into production as a small SUV slotting below the already-small NX, I really hopes it keeps this look. It’s muscular and brutal, all squared-off haunches and taillights that look like they’d cut you if you got too close.

It’s like almost like a new Isuzu VehiCROSS. I like the VehiCROSS. Also, I like that to be technically correct it is VehiCROSS, not Vehicross. VehiCROSS.

Let’s just hope it goes into production looking vaguely like this and without Isuzu’s dumb chrome wheels.
