The Ferrari Enzo is only a couple of years over a decade old, but hypercars have come a long way since then. Now they’re just hybrids literally called “The Ferrari,” even though the company has five models. But what if the designer of the Enzo put his pen to another attempt at a red Italian hypercar?
You’d get the Kode57 Concept. That’s right, Ken Okuyama is back. The man behind the Ferrari Enzo has taken another swipe at the whole hypercar thing, and it’s got all sorts of craziness going on.
Debuting at the 2016 Quail Motorsports Gathering, the (reportedly $2.5 million) 600 horsepower V12 totally-looks-like-a-Ferrari Kode57 takes inspiration from Okuyama’s favorite year for cars—1957.
There’s definitely a lot going on, but the Kode57 does a lot right in my book. How close can a car get to looking like a Ferrari before lawyers start getting twitchy?
Floyd Mayweather has already purchased one. That’s both a joke and 100 percent the truth.
