When You Take A Nissan GT-R To Texas You Get This 2000 HP Monster

Texas doesn’t screw around: they like things big, and they like things powerful. So when the cowboys at T1 Race Development got their hands on a Nissan GT-R, they Texas-ified the crap out of it.

Tony Palo from T1 Race Development claims to have built an R35 Nissan GT-R that spews a mind-incinerating 2,348 horsepower at the rear wheels. That’s apparently enough to get the Texas Godzilla through the quarter mile in 7.3 seconds at 195 miles per hour. Jeez.

“Surely he swapped the baby V6 for something with a few more cubes,” you might think. But no, he’s still got the little 3.8-liter under the sheetmetal.

Of course, that engine’s changed a lot since stock, as it received a dry-sump conversion, new turbos, a new intercooler, new injectors, new heads, fresh rods, a custom crankshaft, fresh cams and a huge laundry-list of other good stuff.
