There seems to be some disagreement among your Jalopnik staff about the new Aston Martin DB11. I rather like it; I find it both elegant and muscular, modern and sexy, and a strong signifier of Aston’s heritage that also carries it into the future.
Other members of my staff (awful people) describe it as “ugly,” “desperate,” “fussy,” “bad,” “not good,” and “shut up.” I think those people are fools.
Here’s a bunch more photos. You be the judge. In the meantime, bear in mind the DB11 has a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 engine good for 600 horsepower and a zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) dash time of 3.9 seconds. It is definitely not slow. The only thing that disappoints me is the lack of a manual gearbox in these photos, though the option is reportedly coming, thank god.
Big win or big miss at Aston?
