It’s not every day that Lamborghini founder Ferruccio Lamborghini turns 100. (Yes, he’s dead, and still dead, I think.) So Lamborghini had to do something special in celebration, and “special” for them means “more insane than usual.” The Lamborghini Centenario does not disappoint.
Is this a pretty car? God, no. Not in any way. Is it a completely, wonderfully, spectacularly bizarre car? Absolutely.
Nailed it.
So basically the Centenario is an Aventador with a longer, lower exposed carbon fiber body, a shit ton of vents and a naturally aspirated V12 with 770 horsepower. It’s said to do zero to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds.
Only 40 of these will be built—20 coupes and 20 roadsters. It’s a pretty wild design, maybe not as crazy as the Egoista or Veneno, but far from boring.
I can get behind this. I’m going to buy eight of them.
