Parked in the middle of Ann Arbor like it’s any other normal old Honda Civic is the all-new 2016 Honda Civic, but someone over at the CivicX.com forum figured out what it is and snapped some photos. What do you think of it?
I’m a fan. It’s very, VERY Mazda 3/Mazda 6-ish to me, but those are both really good-looking cars so I can’t say I mind. I think this is one of the more attractive Civics to come along in a while. Even the front grille is pretty tasteful.
In addition to being one of Honda’s top volume-sellers, the next Civic is a big deal because it’s on a global architecture with a new series of turbocharged engines. Honda is also promising it will be more sporting than the Civic has been in the past few years, which is welcome news for Honda fans and anyone else in need of an affordable daily driver that doesn’t put them to sleep.
Neat! Now bring on the Type-R, finally.
