While my fancypants colleagues were in Monterey wearing boat shoes and pastel colors, I was hanging out near Detroit at a real car show: The Woodward Dream Cruise. And boy were there some amazing cars rolling up and down Michigan’s Highway One.
The Woodward Dream Cruise usually brings in over a million people who come to watch cars roll up and down Detroit’s most legendary highway. In my excitement, I spent seven hours walking along Woodward between 9 Mile Road and 13 Mile Road taking pictures of some of the world’s greatest automobiles. I ended up getting severely sunburned. It was worth it. Here’s why:
