Suitcases have reportedly been found on Réunion Island in the Indian Ocean, the same location where debris resembling a flaperon suspected of being from MH370 was recently discovered. The Malaysian Deputy Transport Minister has said, “it is almost certain that the flaperon is from a Boeing 777.”
A Malaysian investigative team is said to be en route to Réunion Island. The remote French island is located east of Madagascar, which is nearly 4,000 miles from MH370’s last known location.
Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 took off from Kuala Lumpur on the evening of March 8th, 2014, headed for Beijing. Minutes after reaching a cruising altitude, the aircraft vanished without a trace, possibly until now. The sudden appearance of these suitcases, although they could be from anything, is highly coincidental considering yesterday’s flaperon news.
