A couple weeks ago we saw Canada’s CF-18 Demo Team Hornet all decked out like a Hawker Hurricane to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain. Now we get to see the Royal Air Force’s tribute, a stunning Eurofighter Typhoon marked up like a Spitfire from that same period.
The commemorative jet will take part in flying displays and air shows throughout the summer and fall, including what will be some pretty spectacular heritage formations with Supermarine Spitfires.
One of the biggest commemorative events will be a mass flypast this Summer at the Royal International Air Tattoo, which will feature throngs of warbirds from that era all taking to the skies at the same time.
