If you're a car enthusiast, consider these ten videos essential viewing.
10.) RUF Fascination
You think you're a good driver? You won't after watching this. It's Stefan Roser whipping a RUF CTR Yellowbird around the Nurbürgring, and it's batshit.
This is no modern 911 Turbo with all-wheel-drive, a double clutch gearbox, and computers that prevent you from crashing. It's a lightweight monster with no power steering, ABS, or any safety features, and it uses some old school (read: laggy) turbos to make 469 hp.
That's how you sell a car.

9.) Climb Dance
If you need to demonstrate how crazy rally is to someone, Climb Dance will do the trick. This film by Jean Louis Mourney features Ari Vatanen and a Peugeot 405 T16 on a record-setting run at Pikes Peak.
It's a beautifully shot display of a man and his gigantic brass balls.

8.) Chevy Shows You How A Differential Works
General Motors made tons of wonderful automotive explainer videos in the 1930s, and this one about differentials is the best of them all. Now you know how a differential works!

7.) Regular Car Reviews Takes On The Mazda Miata
The guys at Regular Car Reviews came out of left field and produced brilliant car review videos that were unlike anything else out there. Their mix of highbrow intellectualism with lowbrow humor is a breath of fresh air, and their ability to look at cars in a sociohistorical way is incredible.
Track day, bro!

6.) C'était un rendez-vous
Don't under any circumstances attempt this. Just sit back and enjoy this masterwork of cinéma vérité from Claude Lelouch.
It was made by mounting a camera on the front of a Mercedes 450SEL 6.9 and driving through Paris early in the morning. The only thing fake about it is the sound of the engine, which was Lelouch's Ferrari 275GTB.
It is the origin of every street racing video ever since, for better or for worse.

5.) Top Gear Thoroughly Tests The Ford Fiesta
If one video can sum up what's great about Top Gear, it's this hilariously extensive test of the Ford Fiesta. It's both great on its own, and also a perfect parody of the whole car review genre. Lets just forget about Fracasghazi, and enjoy 8 minutes of the show and Jeremy Clarkson at their finest.

4.) Bullitt Car Chase
Yes. There are some continuity errors. You won't care. This is undoubtedly the greatest car chase scene in cinema history, and I doubt it'll ever be topped.
Steve McQueen, a green '68 Mustang, bad guys in a black Charger, and no music to get in the way of those glorious V8s. What more could you want?

3.) The Zero Fucks Given RX-7
Corbin Goodwin and his insane homebrew RX-7 embody everything we love about cars. He built this car in his parent's driveway with money he earned delivering pizzas.
The result is both terrifying and incredible, and you'll definitely be inspired watching this.

2.) Gymkhana
Lord Kensingtone L. Blockensquire IV, OBE has elevated hooning videos to a high art with his Gymkhana series, and all seven are well worth your time. You may think you've seen killer car control before, but if you've never watched Gymkhana, you haven't.
Ken is a man clearly living his best life.

1.) Senna At Monaco
Ayrton Senna may have very well been the greatest race car driver of all time. Watching this onboard video of him at Monaco will confirm that. The man was an absolute monster behind the wheel.
Be thankful we have documents of his mastery like this.
