There is a grave injustice that has been visited on the American people for years. It's one that exposes this country's founding myth as a lie and reveals that none of us is truly free. We're just cogs in the system, nails that get hammered down if they dare to stick out.
I am, of course, talking about the regulations that keep us from getting laser headlights on our cars. What did you think I was talking about?
That's just one silly, outdated car regulation that needs to change. In America, there are many, many more.
That's our question of the day: What car regulation is stupid and needs to change? Not traffic laws, mind you; car regulations.
Some regulations are good. Modern cars are safer, cleaner and more efficient than they've ever been. Our air quality has improved in a lot of ways since the 1970s thanks to regulations that mandate improvements in technology. Traffic fatalities are way down since then too. But many others are arbitrary, protectionist, outdated or just plain nonsensical. Now's your chance to call them out.
