Oh, and I hope you like silence and solitude, because for rear-seat passengers the Mercedes-Maybach S600 is now the quietest production sedan in the entire goddamn world. How they managed to do that, in a car that still has a 6-liter twin-turbo V12 churning out 523 horsepower and 612 torques is a complete mystery, one resplendent with what must be a million pounds of sound deadening and a trillion dollars worth of acoustic research.
You're probably wondering at this point what you get for nearly $200,000 of your well-earned dollars, besides the same sort of ambience that can be accrued from going out and sitting in a tightly-sealed box somewhere. Well, for starters, you get all this:
(NOTE: It is not clear if "all this" includes the exceedingly tacky sunglasses, which actually have the words "THE MONARCH III" stamped on them, just in case you need to remind people that you are royalty, which you aren't, because you bought a pair of sunglasses with the words "THE MONARCH III" on them. But maybe it includes the phone? Mercedes doesn't really say.)
From all the photos we've seen so far, it's clear that you can get your 'Bach in a number of different styles and interior configurations, from the pattern of the leather on your throne to just how many acres of wood you'd like flowing down the timber river that is the center console.
But if you're asking how much all those different options will cost on top of your already-dear $189,350, you clearly can't afford it.
