Ten Cars That Will Still Be Loved In 100 Years

In 2114 when everyone is going to be moving around with personal, electric jetpacks (probably) these ten cars will still be cherished.

10.) Ford Crown Victoria

Future car enthusiasts will be enjoying Crown Vics for one simple reason – they can't be killed. If they can survive 300,000+ miles of NYC taxi service without skipping a beat, I have no doubt they'll survive another century.

Ford may have ended production, but no one can kill the Crown Victoria.

9.) Caterham 7

Lotus introduced the Seven back in 1957, and with the help of consistent, incremental improvements by Caterham, the design has stood the test of time. There's easily another century of fun for the Seven.

8.) Mercedes-Benz Unimog

When talking about the future, you always have to consider the distinct possibility of a zombie apocalypse and what better vehicle for that than a Unimog? These things will handle whatever you throw at them, so if the world is overrun by Zombies, etc. the Unimog will be in demand.

7.) Charger Hellcat

What's not to enjoy about a zany 204 MPH family sedan? The people of 2114 will probably recognize this as the moment humanity went off the deep end.

6.) Mazda Miata

When it was first released, the Miata proved that there was always a desire for a simple, lightweight roadster, even years after the eulogies had been written for its British ancestors. Plus, they're so reliable even the earliest ones will probably survive another 100 years. Probably.

5.) BMW i8

I'm going out on a limb by saying this, but I think the BMW i8 could be seen as the Citroën DS of its time. Back in 1955, the DS showed the world the future of the car, and the i8 is doing that right now.

4.) Toyota Land Cruiser 70

The old school Land Cruiser was so good Toyota decided to bring it back. Simple, utilitarian vehicles like this will always be used and enjoyed, so don't be surprised to see these things off-roading 100 years from now.

3.) Porsche 911

Porsche has brought their ass-engined 911 into the modern age, making the car better and better over 50 years of development. I wouldn't be shocked to see current 911s surviving another century, and I bet Porsche will probably be still turning out new ones.

2.) Tesla Model S

Sure, the Model S will probably be pretty archaic in the distant future, but it'll be enjoyed like a Ford Model T is today – as an important historical artifact, recognized changed the world.

Or maybe future hipsters will like it ironically. Who knows?

1.) Morgan Three-Wheeler

No automaker has stood the test of time quite like Morgan – they've basically been making cars the same way for over a hundred years, so if anyone could survive another hundred, it'd be them.

Plus, their cars are simple enough that people might actually be able to repair them 100 years from now.
