Just in time for the holidays, the first batch of Dodge's SRT Challenger Hellcats have left the Brampton, Ontario assembly plant and are in route to dealerships. They should arrive within the next few weeks. With gas prices rapidly falling, now is the perfect time to get your Hellcat.
Dodge released a video, complete with Mötley Crüe soundtrack, of Hellcats being loaded up on their transport trucks. According to Edmund's, the automaker released a statement saying -
"Dodge and SRT received more than 4,500 orders for the new 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat in just the first five days after orders opened in September...Those 707-horsepower muscle cars are now leaving the Brampton Assembly plant where they were built and making their way to Dodge customers across the country."
The automaker did not release specific production numbers but president and CEO of the Dodge and SRT Tim Kuniskis said they would "build a Challenger Hellcat for every customer who wants one." Of course given the demand for such a bonkers car, you can expect to see some significant markups from the dealerships, despite Dodge's plan to to discourage that.
The Challenger Hellcat starts at $60,990 including destination, but if that seems a little steep you can always lease one.
