After Infiniti's hapless attempt to stoke some excitement about baring "its soul" to the world, we finally know what its flacks were on about. It's called the Q80 Inspiration concept, Infiniti's long awaiting and way overdue flagship.
The wraps are coming off at the Paris Motor Show next month, and Infiniti describes the Q80 as a "low-slung, ingeniously aggressive four-passenger fastback" with an "intuitive human-centric style and onboard technological ambition".
Translation: We're finally getting serious about competing with the 7 Series, A8, LS, and S-Class. Really. We swear.
Given Infiniti's predilection for tech – specifically with its advanced driver's aids – the Q80 should be one part art and three parts science. It can't come soon enough, but then again, we've been saying that for the better part of a decade.
