There's a new Mercedes-Benz C-Class out, and the best part of that news is that the mad scientists at AMG are also cooking up their own version. Here it is testing on the Nürburgring, in both sedan and wagon form. Yay! Wagon form!

We don't know the exact specs on this car yet, but we expect it will be powered by AMG's new 4.0-liter biturbo V8. (Don't get me started on the name "C63", okay?) While we'll all miss the old car's maniacal naturally-aspirated V8, this new motor will hardly be a slouch.

Touriclips, who secured the video of this prototype's 'Ring run, noticed something interesting too:

What caught our attention though is that the prototypes sound different compared to eachother. Check for instance the sound of the prototypes starting with an 'A' in the licenseplate, and the C63 Estate and sedan with 'BB' at the beginning of the license plate. Completely different sound. Perhaps the last two mentioned are testing in Sport+ mode, or maybe even better.. They might be testing a performance package for the new C63 AMG, or even the 'S' version as we've seen with the E63 AMG.
