The kind of people who drive mid-engined rocketships tend to be, shall we say, competitive. So when told to see who can find the fastest time on the course at the Cholmondeley Pageant of Power, they chose to go fast. Nevermind that small jump of a bridge at the end.
It's one thing to do a big jump in a rally-fied BMW. It's another to do a little jump in a Mercedes-AMG SLS, a Ford GT, a BAC Mono, an Ariel Atom, or a brand spanking new McLaren 650S.
