If you've been pining for the 2015 Ford Mustang, Ford says the wait is almost over. They announced today that the next generation of pony car will start at $24,425 and that they are now accepting orders from dealers.
That price is for the V6 Mustang. Including destination and delivery charges it represents an increase of about a grand over the 2014 Mustang it replaces.
What Ford did not announce, however, was pricing for the other two levels of Mustang, EcoBoost and GT. They still also haven't given us exact power figures for any of the cars or their fuel economy.
The 3.7-liter V6 is still said to have more than 300 horsepower and 270 lb.-ft. of torque, the 2.3-liter turbo four EcoBoost has more than 305 horsepower and 300 lb.-ft. of torque and with "projected class-leading fuel efficiency," and the 5.0-liter V8 powered GT has more than 420 horsepower and 390 lb.-ft. of torque.
Let's hope we get more details soon. The car hits dealer lots this fall.
