Regular Car Reviews, you are my favorite because this review contains a great reference to Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. It's also a nice meditation on the merits of the sixth-generation Chevrolet Corvette.
And the merits there are many. It may not be as polished and fancy as the Corvette Stingray that replaced it, but it was still a decent leap over past Corvettes and an incredible performance bargain. It's easy to drive and even gets respectable fuel economy.

Be warned, though: Once you disable the fun-killing skip-shift feature, your life will start to revolve around making your Corvette better, faster, stronger. Also, making fun of Fords. That's a requirement.
