Remember that idea that IndyCar had to have a race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on the road course to promote the Indy 500? Remember? No? Well, that race is Saturday.
I still think that the road course race is not a great idea for a myriad of reasons, but as an IndyCar fan it is my duty to tell you that this race is this Saturday. Practice is today, qualifying is tomorrow, and the race will be live on ABC (hey, that's a real TV channel!) at 3:30 EST on Saturday afternoon.

It'll be interesting to see if it's well attended. From what I've heard from friends in Indianapolis, there hasn't been much promotion in the local market to get people to the track. Fingers crossed that everyone shows up and it's a huge success and a great race.
