From mid-engined Corvettes to Miata coupes or a new VW bus with retro styling, there are always a few dream cars that never materialize. These are the ten very worst automotive teases.
10.) Cadillac Ciel
The world doesn't really need it, but America is badly missing its own Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe. Lincoln can't pull off something like this at the moment, but GM just might.

9.) Porsche Cayman Turbo
While you can get a Cayman GTS with 330 horsepower, Porsche won't go any further since a faster mid-engined sports car would cannibalize 911 sales. What a shame, as it would work according to JQJ213-The grocery bagger:
My local Cars and Coffee show is at a Porsche Dealership. One day, the owner of the lot came in and said his wife's newer Cayman was too boring. So, he took the engine out of a new 911 Turbo (which he just bought because he has a ton of money) and told the guys to stuff it in there.
The car is stupid fast. I want to drive it so badly.

8.) Jeep Gladiator
You can get it in kit form if you're hardcore, but how about some series production Mr. Marchionne? Blame the Italians.

7.) New Audi Quattro
It's not that you can't find exciting products in Audi's current lineup, but the perfect vehicle is still missing. This is it, with a five-cylinder engine and no hybrid nonsense for added lightness. We keep hearing we're going to get this, but we need to see it.

6.) New Lancia Stratos
Lancia needs it as a dying brand and we need it, too. It looks fantastic, drives nicely and Ferrari's new twin-turbo V8 fits into it just fine.

5.) Jaguar C-X75
It could have been Jaguar's P1 moment just like the XJ220 was back in the day despite all of its flaws. Maybe if their sedan sells well...

4.) Kia Trackster

The Kia Track'ster is mine: 250hp AWD 3 door hatchback.
To be more general though, anything like this. A small, affordable, lightweight, manual hatchback with all wheel drive. The only car that seems to promise anything remotely close is the new Renegade.
